A team from Village of Hope will be sharing in our morning service on Sunday, August 15th. Come and bring a friend to hear amazing testimonies of God's deliverance of drug and alcohol addictions.

TAE KWON DO SELF DEFENSE CLASS

If anyone is interested in taking a 5 week self defense class here at the church gym this fall (late September/early October), Master Art Appleby from Appleby’s Tae Kwon Do has offered to do it here at our convenience.

The cost for the 5 week class is $45.00. This class can be for men or women of ages 16 and up.  You do not have to be a person who presses weights in the gym. Anyone can do it. The best part about self defense, is learning how to use your own body to your advantage against a potential predator/situation.

The class size is not limited, but a class of 12 or so would be best so everyone can get the knowledge and experience of each class.

We Need Your Help! Tuesday, August 10 @ 6:30 PM. We are preparing to reseed part of the back lawn at the church. We need to pick off rocks and rake. If you have a wheelbarrow and a rake please bring it with you. If we had 8-10 volunteers it shouldn't take any longer than a couple of hours. Thank you for helping us out. Many hands make light work.
A Church Yard Sale will be held in the gym Saturday, September 11th, 8:00 am – 2:00 pm. Proceeds will go to the Roof Fund.  

Please bring your yard sale items to the gym Friday evening, September 10th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Donations will not be accepted until Friday evening.

Sale items will include small household items, jewellery, Christmas decorations, games, books, etc.  Clothing items not accepted.  There will also be a craft table and donated items are appreciated. Please contact Kathy Wyrwas, 451-0414. 

Volunteers are needed on Friday evening to help set up tables and sort. Volunteers are also needed on Saturday from 8-5 to work the tables and to clean the gym out by 5 PM. If you can help for even a few hours please speak to Lola or Meda. Many hands make light work.

This past February our Leadership Team introduced a proposed Name Change, Bridge Church, and a new Constitution and Leadership Structure. It was decided to hold off on a final vote until fall, once our people were vaccinated for COVID-19 allowing for greater participation in this importance decision.

As a result we are holding several round table discussion groups, a vision Sunday and a final vote in September. Please mark your calendars.

MBC Benevolent Fund

The first Sunday of the month is "Benevolent Sunday." All loose offering ($1, $2, $5, $10 and $20) given in the offering box at the back of the sanctuary will go towards our Benevolent Ministry. Donations can be designated on your offering envelope or online at anytime. Part of your donation is used by MBC to help those in need from our community and part is given to Sharing Hands for our shared benevolent ministry.

GOOD NEWS - We Have Gone Green!

COVID-19 restrictions were lifted in New Brunswick as of midnight on July 30th, therefore restrictions have been lifted at MBC.

Wearing a mask is no longer required!

However, your safety and well being is our primary concern - so here are a few things you need to know about attending in-person this week.

As you enter the building:

  1. Please use hand sanitizer whenever you enter the building. Sanitizer has been placed in various places throughout the facility for the health and safety of all who use our building.
  2. Disposable masks are available at the door if you wish to wear one.
