The North County Transit District (NCTD) has more than 50 open bus operator positions.
The new pay and benefits package includes an increase in the starting rate for new hire operators from $18.84 to $22.00 with no experience required. Paid commercial driver’s license (CDL) training is included. The pay range escalates up to $26.00 after six years of experience. Benefits include healthcare coverage of 80 percent or more of premium cost. A sign-on bonus of $2,000 is offered for applicants without a CDL and $5,000 with existing CDL and experience.
