OUR MISSION:

St. Rita School inspires students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade eight to achieve academic excellence in a safe, nurturing and faith-filled Catholic environment.

We prepare students to be morally responsible, innovative thinkers who, in today’s technology-guided global community, live and share the Love of Christ.

From the Desk of Mrs. Tiezzi

Dear St. Rita Parents/Guardians,

We have had a busy first few days of school and the students and teachers are settling back into the routine. I’d like to extend a warm welcome to all new and returning families. Tomorrow is another full day of school and Friday is an early dismissal day to start the Labor Day holiday weekend. Parents and grandparents are invited to join us at Mass at St. Rita Church this Friday at 9:00 and every Friday throughout the school year. Students in grades 1-8 will be attending weekly Mass with the kindergarten students joining us in October, and the 4 year-old PreK students joining us during the second trimester. The youngest members of our school community will not be joining us until Spring. Tomorrow members of our Student Council will serve as lectors and altar servers. Celebrating the Eucharist as a vibrant school community is a wonderful way to remember, notice, and give thanks for a world full of God’s good gifts.

Our school wide theme for the year is The St. Rita Way-His Way----Rooted in Christ. What is the St. Rita Way you ask? It is to be a respectful, responsible, kind, helpful, honest loving and faith-filled student. We expect all our students to follow the rules in the classroom, in the lunchroom, and out at recess. Working together (parents, teachers and students) we will continue to keep St. Rita School the place to be where the love of Christ is lived and shared.

We will have two Back to School/Meet the Teacher Nights this year. The date for parents with students in grades PreK 3-Grade 3, is Thursday, September 15 beginning at 6:00 P.M. in the gym. For parents with students in grades 4-8, the date is Thursday, September 22 beginning at 6:00 P.M. in the gym. The presentations are in-person only and will include a welcome from our Pastor, Fr. Tiano, and an overview of the upcoming HSA events.

Dennis Uniform is currently experiencing delays in delivery due to production shortages.  If your uniform delivery has been delayed, please stop by our uniform exchange to see if there is something you can use. Your child will not be penalized if he/she is not in proper uniform due to delays with delivery. However, it is expected that all students will have the proper haircuts, hair styles, hair colors and appropriate footwear.

Lunch menu sign-ups have been sent out to all families. In order to have your child receive hot lunches registration is necessary. Please click HERE to access the hot lunch site. For the past few years our hot lunch and before/aftercare programs have shared the same platform which we are currently changing.  We apologize for the inconvenience with signing up for the before and after care programs and expect the new platform will be ready by next week. Thank you for your patience.

The SRS teachers and I are looking forward to partnering with you during this school year. Thank you for entrusting your child/ren to our care. Enjoy the holiday weekend.

God Bless,

Mrs. Tiezzi

Hello Saint Rita Families,

The HSA Executive Board would like to welcome you all back to school! We are excited to start another great year, and we have begun planning this year’s events and fundraisers.

We are looking for parents to get involved this year, and there are many different opportunities to volunteer. There is something for everyone! We will have sign up information at back-to-school night, or feel free to email us anytime with questions.

The time and efforts of our volunteers are essential and very much appreciated!

We will send out more information soon on our upcoming events, and we hope to see everyone at our back to school picnic on September 10th!
