2nd ANNUAL AFRICAN AMERICAN GOSPEL AND SPIRITUALS WORKSHOP - Grace Will Lead Us Home

It's almost time for the 2nd Annual African American Gospel and Spirituals Workshop lead by Dr. Michael Ross. This workshop will focus on gospel music and spirituals in relation to the Civil Rights Movement, exploring how sacred music served as worship, resistance, hope and community during that era.

The program will include:

Inspiring presentations and panel conversation
Community, worship and song
Resources and take-home materials
A light breakfast will be provided.

When: Saturday, August 15 from 9:00 am - noon. Doors open at 8:30 am

Where: Parish Hall, Grace Episcopal Church, 2955 River Road West, Goochland, VA

Food Pantry Sunday

This Sunday, August 9th is Food Pantry Sunday. Please donate as generously as possible to support GoochlandCares’ mission of caring for our neighbors in need.

Progressive Worship Service

On Sunday, August 30th, we will hold a joint "progressive worship service" with our friends at St. John's in Columbia. The morning will start off with coffee and the beginning of the service at St. John's and conclude at Grace with communion followed by a potluck luncheon. Be on the lookout for more details soon!
