IDPH Shares Revised COVID-19 Decision Tree for Evaluating Symptomatic Individuals

The Illinois Department of Public Health has released a revised Decision Tree for Evaluating Symptomatic Individuals from Pre-K, K-12 Schools and Day Care Programs. The PDF also includes guidance on Considerations for School Nurses and Health Care Providers.
Clery Center Article on Talking to College Students About Campus Safety

The Clery Center and ADT conducted a survey of college students last fall and found "82% of college students are concerned about their personal safety." In order to help address concerns and promote safety, the Clery Center released the article "How to Talk About Campus Safety with the College Student in Your Life." The article discusses how to approach the topic of campus safety, provides tips for student safety, links to resources for students and families, and includes a snapshot of the takeaways from the survey.
Illinois School Safety Conference

The Illinois School Safety Conference is scheduled for October 6, 2022, from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm in Niles, IL. This conference is free for school personnel, police, emergency preparedness personnel, and public safety officers (you must bring your school or agency ID to enter the event). The conference includes speakers from various organizations, free continental breakfast and lunch, and onsite vendors. Additionally, paperwork will be provided on site for school personnel seeking Professional Development hours. For more information, click here.
