Pastor's Word of the Week

Church Family,

Summer is coming to a close. The staff and I met recently to visit about the Fall ahead of us and the things we hope to see and accomplish as a church in the coming months. I believe God has great things in store as we surrender to Him. This Sunday marks the end of our Journey through Psalms. I hope the emphasis on how these expressions of worship meet and impact our daily lives has been helpful and meaningful to you. I know God has spoken words of both correction and encouragement as I have prepared and delivered these sermons. In the weeks ahead, I will be calling on our leadership in the various committees and ministry teams to work toward more cohesion, planning, and purpose. The Church Council will meet this Sunday night and I will outline some of the things that God has laid on my heart over the past few months. Starting Sunday, August 16th , I will be sharing many of those things with the greater church congregation as well. This past Sunday I highlighted the need for us to re-express our connection, especially on a spiritual level, with our ministry Angleton Christian School. As one part of that, we have printed cards with all the faculty and staff names on them and laid them out at the Coffee Bar. What I am asking you to do is to take a card and commit to pray for that individual on a regular basis throughout the next school year. We have a little over 20 people left after Sunday, so please swing by and grab a card when you come to church. If you would rather pray for the entire group, there is also a list on the counter that contains the names of every member of the faculty and staff. I am prayerfully excited about what God has in store for us in the coming year. I hope you are too!

Need a place during the service?

Parents, we're so glad you're here! Children are always welcome to remain in the main auditorium with you. Their sounds, wiggles, and occasional chatter are a joyful reminder that families are part of our church community.

Whether you are a parent or just someone who needs a different space, if, at any point in the service, you feel the need to separate yourself from the larger group, we have a Family Room available right next to the Coffee Bar. The service is livestreamed there, giving those who need it a little more room to be themselves as they continue participating in worship. After the service, we would love for you to return to the auditorium or fellowship areas to connect with others.
