Annual Meeting 2018
Spirit ~ Stories ~ Love!
Have you heard our Good News gossip about this workshop?
 Make a Joyful Noise!
-Jacqueline Savage

This workshop will prepare the group to sing a piece of music in final worship service. The piece we learn will reflect the UCC's theme, "Three Great Loves: Love of Neighbor, Love of Creation, and Love of Children". Workshop will include prayer, warm-ups, sectional practice, and performance.
Jacqui has been directing music at churches for over 10 years. She was the Minister of Music at Standish Congregational Church from 2008-2017 and started as Music Director at Saco First Parish in July 2017. Jacqui graduated from the University of Maine, Orono in 2008 with a Bachelor Degree in Music Education, her primary instrument being piano and a focus on voice. She is the teacher and owner of Jacqui's Piano Studio in Falmouth and teaches around 50 students each week. She also has 3 children that love to play music! Gunnar who is 1, Emily who is 5, and Alex who is 13 years old.
2018 Boundary Awareness Training
Opportunities Sponsored by the
Maine Conference UCC
"Everyday Boundaries" with Rev. Dr. Susan StonestreetUnlike many boundary training's, this workshop does not focus on the kinds of misconduct that wind up in the newspaper, but on the ordinary and vexing boundary conflicts that clergy manage every day. For example, clergy are often torn between the needs of their families and the demands of their congregations. To complicate matters, clergy are often rewarded at church for being over-responsible, and criticized at home. Stir in a congregation's anxiety about decline, the lack of interest from the millennial generation, and worry about the future, and setting boundaries can become an experience of setting sail in a perfect storm. A focus on "Saying No to Say Yes" will help us live more abundantly in our personal lives and ministries.  10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2018 @ Union Congregational UCC of Ellsworth Falls, 2 Falls Court, Ellsworth $25.
