In 1941 the County purchased 339 acres of agricultural land and began constructing a runway using grant funds from the Civil Aeronautics Authority (predecessor to the Federal Aviation Administration). In March of 2000, the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors voted to change the Sonoma County Airport’s name to Charles M. Schulz – Sonoma County Airport. STS is the only airport that offers scheduled air service into the North Bay. Currently four airlines fly out of STS - Alaska, American, Avelo and United.

Congrats to our Chamber Team who participated in the Active 20-30 Club of Rohnert Park & Cotati #656 Kickball Tournament! We didn't win the tournament but we didn't come in last either!
