Going above and beyond for shelter dogs
Mack gets the surgery he needs thanks to our veterinary team and community partners
Mack is a sweet, playful, and handsome Weimaraner mix who has faced more than his share of hardships. Sadly, he first arrived at Animal Friends Alliance because his person passed away. After that, he experienced an injury that caused the fun-loving 6-year-old a lot of pain.
Things are looking up for Mack, though. Animal Friends Alliance is committed to ensuring this pup has a bright future and loving home. Thanks to the generosity of our friends in the veterinary community and supporters like you, Mack is going to get the surgery that he needs on September 1.

Madame Leota is a unique kitty who is looking for a special home. She was originally adopted from Animal Friends Alliance as a kitten, but she had to come back due to a change in her family's living situation during COVID.
Leota is the epitome of a quirky cat! She has a hilarious personality and loves to chase invisible things that only she can see. She's physically special, too: her tail extends flat against her back and her hips sway in a distinctive strut. X-rays didn't reveal a conclusive reason why, so we like to think she's just born to be different. Her unique attributes don't slow her down; they just make her even more adorable!
You can meet Madame Leota in Unit 9 of our Mulberry Shelter and you can learn more by calling (970) 484-8516 or visiting our website. If you're not in a place to adopt a special girl like Leota, you can also donate to support her care!
