CRM Ascent August 2020
Converge Rocky Mountain is a movement of transformational churches. We seek to transform lives and communities by strengthening and multiplying Jesus-filled believers and congregations in the Rocky Mountain West.
Pressing On, Expanding The Kingdom In The Face Of A Pandemic

The world has been turned upside down battling an invisible enemy that is seeping into every crevice of our existence. It is impacting work, school, sports, congregational life and much more. And certainly Covid 19 is something that all believers should be aware of, but the virus should never become our top priority. As God's people we must stay "on mission," battling the greater invisible enemy of sin and a spiritual enemy who seeks to steal, kill and destroy all that God loves. And the great news is, Converge Rocky Mountain churches are staying "on mission!"
New Church Planting Couples Approved

Three CRM couples joined with others from Converge Northwest at a Converge Planter Assessment Center in Puyallup, Washington. The goal was to examine their lives, skills and spiritual giftings to determine their readiness to plant a new church. All of the CRM couples were approved. Matt and Kristal Flores, and Donnie and Karma Halbgewachs are headed to plant in the Albuquerque metro area. This will be the first time that CRM will have churches in New Mexico since the mid 1970s. Arnold and Christina Cubos were also approved to plant a Filipino church in north Denver. CRM is sending two more couples to another assessment held in Indianapolis in November. Five new churches in the pipeline! Please clear room on your prayer calendars and in your mission budgets to support these new congregations.
Albin Baptist Expands Their Online Reach

Pastor John Morrison reports that Albin Baptist used a generous memorial gift to upgrade their online presence. Utilizing new cameras, video screens and back drops the church communicated the Gospel message to a whole new virtual audience. They were overjoyed to receive a message from a man in central Wyoming who was watching the broadcast and was moved to put his faith in Christ. A team is heading up to meet the man because he has asked to be baptized. How great is our God!

Pastor Tim Wilson Retires after Serving Indian Hills Christian Fellowship for 33 Years!

August 30, 2020 Indian Hills Christian Fellowship said good bye to Pastor Tim and Kate Wilson. Tim served the church for 33 years and also served his country as a navy chaplain. Lots of tears, but good tears exchanged between a superb ministry couple and the congregation they shared life with for over three decades. The church presented them with a handcrafted church pew. Engraved mountains in the center and lists of church families on both sides. Well done good and faithful servants! Pray for the Wilson's as they begin this new era of life.
How To Reach Your LDS Neighbor Training

Mosaic Church, Littleton CO, will be hosting a seminar on how best to share the truth of Jesus with our Mormon friends. The training will be facilitated by Ritch Sandford and Bradley Campbell, pastors at The Mission Church, a Converge Rocky Mountain congregation in South Jordan, Utah. Both have a wealth of knowledge, experience, passion and desire to see Mormons come to understand the truth of the gospel.

The training takes place Friday evening September 25th from 7pm-9pm and Saturday September 26th from 9am - 4pm. High school age and up. Seating limited to 100 spots.
$45 Mosaic - Youth room. Saturday Lunch included
Refresh Retreat Canceled

Refresh has been cancelled for this fall due to issues surrounding Covid 19. We are assessing timing of the event and will offer new options for 2021. Perhaps an early summer get away would allow more spouses to attend, especially if we offer child care. We'll keep you posted.
S2 Start and Strengthen Conference
No Higher Calling!

There’s an unspeakable privilege to be invited into the story God is writing. The God of heaven and earth directs life assignments, and yet, the one we, as ministers, are called into is parallel to none. The calling you walk in is guided by the creator of all things in and above this earth. There is No Higher Calling.

A number of CRM pastors have already signed up. Joe's Farm Fresh Grill is on for dinner on the 11th. In N Out as many times as you can get there. Don't miss excellent speakers and break outs!
