What a Night at Boot Scootin' Country Festival | | Thank you to everyone who joined us at our Boot Scootin’ Country Festival! We loved seeing all the cowboy hats, boots, and country flair. The energy was off the charts and the laughter was nonstop. We hope y’all had as much fun as we did! | | Get to Know Juan Rangel, President, Bloom Works Landscape | | |
Why did you join BOMA/GLA?
I wanted to connect with other business owners, meet professionals from different trades, and build relationships that could lead to future collaborations. It's always valuable to have trusted contacts you can reach out to when needed.
What advice would you give to someone new to the industry?
This industry rewards those who care. Pay attention, take pride in the small details, and keep learning every day. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. There’s no shame in not knowing, only in not trying to improve. We’re building more than landscapes - we’re building trust, craftsmanship, and a reputation.
What's a personal or professional project are you working on right now?
On a personal note, I’m teaching my 16-month-old son to be creative. We’re exploring colors with chalk and paintbrushes. Watching him discover art is amazing.
Who inspires you?
My dad. Watching him work in landscaping is what inspired my career. He taught me the value of craftsmanship and the pride of seeing a project through from start to finish.
Best restaurant you've ever been to?
Sonney's BBQ Shack Bar & Grill in South Lake Tahoe. We went on a trip with my then fiancée (now my wife) and our dog. They even let our dog inside, and she loved the brisket as much as we did.
