Dear Lakeside Chautauqua Community,
I think you will agree that despite the safety concerns and regulations imposed by COVID-19, the 2020 Chautauqua season was extraordinarily successful.
Lakesiders were still able to enjoy the cultural arts performances at the Steele Memorial Bandstand; children were still able to take Rhein Center and sailing classes; thousands of families and friends were still able to relax and have fun at the Grindley Aquatic & Wellness Campus. While it wasn't a traditional season in some ways, in other ways it served as a back-to-basics summer where we could truly unwind and spend quality time with one another.
The creativity, commitment and hard work of the Lakeside staff played a significant role in the success of this season.
The Foundation Board and Association Board believe that the staff deserves our gratitude and appreciation for working so diligently and flexibly to create a Chautauqua season that is safe and fun for all.
Will you join us by showing appreciation to our staff by giving them tangible expressions of our gratitude? Let’s send or give them notes of thanks, express to them words of encouragement, give them cookies, pies, a gift card or whatever is appropriate that expresses your feelings of Thanksgiving.
Let’s pull out all the stops and do these acts of kindness and appreciation for the staff between now and Labor Day. Will you join us?
Thanks in advance for sharing your good will to the Lakeside staff!
