Brew at the Zoo Returns

Experience an unforgettable tasting event at Brew at the Zoo! Try local and regional beers, wines, ciders, seltzers, and non-alcoholic beverages, sample tasty bites, and listen to live music from Luis Osorio, Shaun Richards, Caitlyn Faust, and DJ Visionaries while you explore the Potawatomi Zoo.

Whether you’re discovering a new favorite drink, spending time with friends, or enjoying the Zoo in a unique way, Brew at the Zoo is an exciting night you won’t want to miss!

Brew at the Zoo is September 25, 5:30-9:30 pm for VIPs and 6:30-9:30 pm for GA tickets. It’s $125 for VIP access and $75 for general admission.

Free Citizen Science Program

What does it mean to be a citizen scientist? It's when the public participates and collaborates in scientific research. If you want to be a citizen scientist, we have a new FREE workshop and community conservation event that you can be a part of!

Register now to join us Saturday, September 12, 1-2 pm, to learn more about aquatic invasive species and how you can help scientists protect freshwater habitats. You can also help us improve Bendix Park in Mishawaka by searching for invasive snails on September 19, from 2-4 pm.

Zoo Hours Change Soon

Summer hours end on August 31! Starting September 1, the Zoo will be open from 10 am to 5 pm through November 29 (closed Thanksgiving Day).

Concert Series Continues

We had a great time at last month’s Zoo Nights Live, and we’re inviting you back this month! We've got seats, but you can also bring your own lawn chair to rock out with UltraFab, a fabulous local cover band, on August 22, 6:30 – 9:30 pm.

Zoo Nights Live is a family-friendly event. It’s free for Zoo Members, and it’s included in the regular daily admission ticket price for all others. Grab some dinner at the Lodge or a drink at the bar and enjoy the music in the Picnic Grove with family and friends.

Zoo Member Mornings

Zoo Members can visit the Zoo on Saturday mornings from 9-10 am on August 15, 22, 29, plus September 5 and October 3.

Enjoy the Zoo before we’re open to the public and see what animals are up to and how the zoo keepers prepare for the day. It’s just one of the great perks of being a Zoo member!

Photo Contest Voting

Voting for the 2027 Zoo Calendar Contest finalists on the Zoo’s Facebook and Instagram starts August 12! We pick the best pictures from all the submitted pictures for consideration, and you pick the best of the best! Voting goes through September 11. The picture with the most votes in each category will win that category. A panel of judges will choose the grand prize winner.
