We all know that our area continues to grow and change in interesting ways. Many regional and national publications have covered our growing food and beverage scene for example, and housing continues to be a focus as well as a challenge.

Better Business Bureau - The BBB supports residents and businesses through accreditation, dispute resolution services, and educational programs designed to enhance customer relations. They are committed to fostering trust between businesses and consumers

Vacationland Film Festival

at the City Theater 8/8-8/11



The first-ever Vacationland Film Festival will premiere August 8-11, 2024 at the City Theater in Biddeford. A collaboration of filmmakers from Maine and beyond will present the latest independent films from this season, recent festival favorites, powerful shorts and youth-produced work, while also showcasing student filmmaking. There will also be a little star power surprise featured. Tickets and passes for the festival are available through the City Theater web site at citytheater.org/tickets. River Jam on August 17th


River Jam returns on Saturday, August 17th with an annual celebration of music and community. Groove to the beats while you enjoy fun family activities and more, all alongside the Saco River at Mechanics Park in Downtown Biddeford! Start the day with live dance, theater, & music performances, community booths, and fun activities for all ages! The afternoon and evening continue with an incredible line-up of musicians from Maine and beyond performing on the Main Stage, several food trucks, and local brews/wines in the Beer & Wine Garden.


Port Resources ''The Art of Belonging''


Member Port Resources is a non-profit that provides a full spectrum of support and services for individuals with intellectual and mental health challenges. Every December they host a fundraising reception featuring an art exhibit and sale. They are inviting artists to submit up to four pieces of wall art for sale, with a minimum donation of 50% from any sales, though full donations are welcome. The exhibition will be open to the public from December 2nd to 5th, with an exhibit reception on December 5th at Barridoff Auctions, South Portland, ME. See below for more info!
