ON THE PATROL BEAT
Search Warrant Leads to Firearm and Drug Seizures
In early July, our East Division Directed Enforcement Team (DET), with an assist from West DET officers and Drug Investigation detectives, served a warrant, which led to the arrest of a suspect, the seizure of nine firearms, and the recovery narcotics, including fentanyl. Thank you to the detectives and officers for their great work as they continue to keep our community safe.

Traffic Stop Results in Stolen Firearm Recovery and Drug Seizure
A few weeks ago, officers from our Coordinated Response Team (CRT) conducted a traffic stop and subsequent investigation which led to the arrest of a suspect and the seizure of drugs that were intended to be sold and four firearms, of which one was reported stolen. Great work by our CRT Officers!

KEEP UP WITH THE LBPD
LBPD Officer Honored in First Annual Paw Parade

In early July, Officer Victor Ortiz was honored at the 1st Annual Paw Parade held at Lincoln Park. Officer Ortiz was recognized for his service in the United States Marine Corp and for his 17 years of service with the LBPD as a canine handler. We’re incredibly proud of all his hard work!

LBPD Welcomes the Return of the Pride Parade

This year marked the return of the Long Beach Pride Parade after a two-year hiatus. Chief Wally Hebeish along with several members of the LBPD and their families, joined in the festivities and walked in solidarity with our entire Long Beach community. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
