Backpacks support VOADV clients, community partners, and the general public. Over 1,000 backpacks have already been given to children in need thanks to you!

We are also hosting our own Backpack Distribution Event and Resource Fair this Thursday August 20, 2026 from 3 - 7 pm! There we will distribute another 1,000 backpacks.

The Aletha R. Wright Vision of Hope Center received a significant upgrade in July as more than 100 Target team members descended on the Camden facility for a day of intensive renovation and beautification.

The project, part of Target’s signature “Bullseye Builds with Community” program, was completed in partnership with Jersey Cares.

Throughout the day, volunteers worked to revitalize shared spaces within the shelter, including veterans’ dormitories, classroom areas, a calming room, and various resident lounges.

Beyond structural improvements, the team added personal touches to the environment.

Our whiskey-tasting fundraiser supporting the construction of playgrounds at all three of our family shelters is back! Save the Date: October 22 from 6 - 9 pm at the Community House of Moorestown.
