PROVIDE FEEDBACK ON THE PRELIMINARY DESIGN OF THE EAST HIGH SCHOOL AQUATIC SPACE RENOVATION
The District and its architect are working on a preliminary design for the renovation of the East High School Aquatic Space. In case you missed it, this project is thanks to a generous donation provided by Wauwatosa School District Alumni (1951) John and Tashia Morgridge.

The District will host a community meeting on Tuesday, August 20th at 7:30 p.m. at East High School in the cafeteria. An initial design will be presented for feedback.

The District has also collected input from user groups of the pool. Thank you to the more than 130 people who also responded to our Google Form with feedback on what you appreciate in other aquatic spaces you've visited. We appreciate your input!
RECREATION DEPARTMENT HAS A NEW LOCATION
The Wauwatosa Recreation Department office is moving! On August 19th, the Department will move to a new office location inside Wauwatosa West High School.

The Recreation Department had been sharing a space with Montessori School in the lower floor of the Fisher Administration Building. However, it's become increasingly evident more space is needed to adequately meet the learning needs of the school's existing student body and programs, which is the reason for the move.

Please note if you are needing to register in person for any programs, the new Rec Office address beginning Aug 19th is:

11324 W Center St
Wauwatosa, WI 53222

The Rec Office will be located in the southeast corner of West High School. Community members will enter the Rec Office through the entrance on the east side of West High School, through the smaller east parking lot.

While the office will be closed for for a day or two during the move, online registration will remain open. The Fall Activity Guide comes out August 13. Further communication on the office closure dates will come from the Rec Department.
WSD EXPLORES PARTNERSHIP WITH CHINESE SCHOOLS ORGANIZATION
Two Wauwatosa School District teachers traveled to China this summer to teach and learn about the Chinese school system. The opportunity was part of the District's exploration of a partnership with a Chinese international school program. District schools would be the first public schools in the area to offer such a program.

TOSA STUDENTS PERFORM ABOVE STATE AVERAGE IN FIRST YEAR OF DISTRICT'S REQUIRED AP COURSE FOR SOPHOMORES
For the first time in Wisconsin, an entire sophomore class took a college-level Advanced Placement (AP) Human Geography course during the 2018-2019 school year, not because they chose the challenge, but because the Wauwatosa School District believes each of them could rise to a higher rigor.

And, the recently released 2019 scores for the elective AP test show Wauwatosa students did just that.
