Watch Our Progress: Downtown Burlington Is Open For Business
TIGER Project work continues on the Riverfront, and will soon start on the 500-600 blocks of Jefferson. Tama Too is going up quickly on the 300 block of Jefferson Street. Churchill Building is almost complete and getting ready to open as residential and commercial space. Merge Urban Development Group is ready to start building on 3rd Street and the 700 block of Jefferson Street is undergoing exciting renovations. There are many upper story renovations happening and commercial space is being created throughout the Downtown District.
Although you may not be able to park in front of your favorite business when construction work is on that block, remember that there is parking on the side streets and in the city lots. In most cases, you can park less than a block away and walk to support the small businesses.
With all of these projects happening in the Downtown District, remember "We Are Open For Business". Come down and see the progress in front of your eyes! Stroll, shop, eat, drink and enjoy the Downtown!

Art Center of Burlington Mural
The Art Center of Burlington has started a new mural on the East side of the building on 3rd Street. During the Jefferson St Farmers Market on Thursday nights, you can watch the progress being made on the mural!
Public art ignites conversations about how we are all connected, and creatively depicts our place in the past, present, and future. Public art also helps bring culture and a vibrant welcome to the community. This mural is the next addition to more art and murals popping up in the community.

TIGER PRINTS
Tiger paw prints have been seen in Downtown Burlington. Don’t worry. There is not an oversized tiger on the loose. Rather, the colorful paw prints encourage residents to eat, drink and shop Downtown while the TIGER grant redevelopment project makes its way down Jefferson Street.
The Downtown Partners, Inc. Design Committee has made it easy to follow the Tiger Prints to your favorite businesses in Downtown Burlington during the TIGER construction project. You will see more of these prints appear as construction "roars" down Jefferson.
