Movies will be shown on the side of Drake Hardware and Software at Fifth and Valley Streets this summer. There's no admission for the events, though donations are accepted. The movies will start at dusk - but be sure to come down early and pick out a choice spot (spots will be marked with chalk to follow social distancing guidelines). There will be snack and drinks available, too.

Saturday, August 7 Raya and the Last Dragon
Check the Downtown Burlington, Iowa page on Facebook for updates in case of inclement weather. Downtown Partners thanks Drake Hardware and Software and Elks Lodge #84 for making the 5 & V Downtown Cinema possible.

Support the Lightscape Project
Each day the Burlington Lightscape Project Phase 2 is getting closer to lighting the Great River Bridge with energy efficient LEDs!
Currently the bridge, the front door to Burlington, is dark and the lights inoperable. The Lightscape Project has donations and pledges for 65% of the $500,000 goal. All local businesses and individuals are encouraged to participate by making a donation to the Burlington/West Burlington Development Area Foundation at the Greater Burlington Partnership. Snake Alley will be illuminated with LEDs after the bridge is lit. An endowment fund with the Burlington Community Foundation has also been established to maintain the lighting of the steeples, Great River Bridge, and Snake Alley in future years.
If interested in donating, please mail checks to: 610 N 4th Street Suite 200, Burlington, IA 52601 Checks payable to Burlington/West Burlington Area Development Foundation
