August 2019: What's New
Dine Out for Encompass on September 15
Enjoy a meal at one of your favorite restaurants in support of Encompass!

Dine out at a participating Snoqualmie Valley restaurant on Sunday, September 15, and 20% of your bill will be donated to building the new Encompass pediatric therapy clinic and early learning center in Snoqualmie.

Make sure to tell the restaurant you are there to support Encompass or show a flyer, social media post, or this email!

Mark your calendar, bring your appetite, and invite your friends, family, and coworkers to join in this community-wide event. To see a list of participating restaurants, click below!
Take our Public Parent Survey and you could win $100!
Encompass is surveying parents in our service area to see what people know about us and what we can be doing better to meet the needs and interests of the community. In September, one participant will be randomly selected to win a $100 Amazon card

To be eligible to fill out the survey, you must meet the following criteria:
  • Be a caregiver of at least one child under age 18
  • Live within the boundaries of the Snoqualmie Valley, Riverview, or Issaquah School Districts

You don’t have to be a current or former Encompass participant to fill out the survey; you don’t even have to know what Encompass is! You just have to meet the two criteria listed above. We hope that you will take a moment out of your busy life to help us better understand and serve our audience. Thank you!
Enjoying a Day with Thomas the Train
The Northwest Railway Museum always donates Thomas the Train tickets to our families every year; here are some of our ParentChild+ families enjoying a day out together! Thank you to the Northwest Railway Museum for your donation.
Blog Post: Tips on beating end-of-summer burnout
As August ticks by, anxiety tends to increase and a sense of simultaneous excitement and foreboding creeps in for both parents and kids. With these kinds of big feelings going on, it’s no wonder we often experience an increase in behavioral and emotional meltdowns for both parents and kids!

Encompass Behavioral Health Manager Megan Walsh wrote a great blog post with some tips on how to avoid stress in the final weeks of summer. Click below to check it out!

Volunteer Builds New Stairs for Clinic Ball Pit
Thank you to volunteer Darrell, who constructed new stairs for our popular ball pit at the Pediatric Therapy Clinic. These new stairs replace the worn-out foam stairs and give kids a platform from which to jump into the ball pit (which they love).

Thank you Darrell!
Pacific Hospital Preservation and Development Authority Awards $100,000 to Encompass Mobile Therapy Unit
Pacific Hospital Preservation and Development Authority (PHPDA) recently awarded Encompass $100,000 toward services provided with our Mobile Therapy Unit.

The Encompass Mobile Therapy Unit began providing services in May 2017. The first of its kind in the state of Washington, the therapy center on wheels enables us to bring specialized therapy services right into the communities that need them, eliminating distance-based hardship as a barrier to quality care.

Thank you to PHPDA for your continued support of our Mobile Therapy Unit!
