The Bardstown-Nelson County Chamber of Commerce would like to recognize CHI Saint Joseph Health / Flaget Memorial Hospital as the Featured Visionary Member of the Month.
Flaget Memorial Hospital has been a part of the Bardstown/Nelson County community for more than 70 years. It is more than just a hospital; it is a ministry comprised of people who are called to serve their neighbors through health care. It is a proud corporate citizen with leaders involved in the community and employees dedicated to serving the people of Bardstown and Nelson County, as well as patients in surrounding counties. Driven by its core values of compassion, inclusion, integrity, excellence and collaboration, Flaget and its employees live the mission of making the healing presence of God known in our world by improving the health of the people they serve, especially those who are vulnerable, while advancing social justice for all.
Over the past few years, Flaget has expanded services to ensure patients in the Nelson County area have access to the best care available. The quality care at the Flaget cancer center was enhanced with an affiliation with the Cleveland Clinic Cancer Center in 2021. Flaget has been named a Best Place to Work in Kentucky four out of the last five years, and five times overall since the program began.
