July Connect Hosted By: Lux Row Distillers
On July 12th, the Bardstown-Nelson County Chamber of Commerce held its 5PM Connect hosted by Lux Row Distillers. It was an evening that consisted of networking, bourbon sipping, snack eating, and laughter. Guests got to listen to upcoming events and bottle release information from Lux Row as well as taste some pretty delicious bourbon. Thank you again to our sponsor Lux Row for such an amazing evening and to the amazing community we have here in Bardstown!
Home Coming
On July 1st, the Bardstown-Nelson County Chamber of Commerce partnered up with My Old Kentucky Home State Park to celebrate 100 years of the Chamber and the My Old Kentucky Home being open to the public. In 1923, the Chamber and My Old Kentucky Home had a weeklong of celebrations. The week consisted of baseball games, parades, and delicious food. So, in memory the Chamber & MOKH wanted to bring back the “Homecoming Picnic” to celebrate the past and present. Community members gathered for an evening of games, music, food, laughter, fireworks, and more. We want to thank all our volunteers, vendors, and sponsors who helped make this event possible.
Kentucky Chamber of Commerce's 3rd Annual Women’s Summit
On July 18th, the Bardstown-Nelson County Chamber of Commerce staff and chamber members attended the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce's 3rd Annual Women’s Summit. We celebrated, recognized, and listened to the accomplishments of women across Kentucky.
XLR8 Class
On July 13th, the Bardstown-Nelson County Chamber of Commerce held its third of four XLR8 classes held at Holiday Inn, hosted by BNCC & ECTC.

This year’s subject matter is “It Starts With You, overcoming stressors in the workplace”. Our recent class covered Work-Life Balance, which dove into the benefits of work life balance, recognizing the signs of an unbalanced life, creating balance at work and at home, and how to manage stress. We learned tips and tricks such as learning time management, setting realistic goals for yourself, realizing signs of an imbalance in work and at home, and using employee resources. With a healthy work-life balance, both employers and employees can reap a range of benefits. Productivity is higher, absenteeism is lower, and physical and mental health improves with a higher commitment and motivation to work. Personal relationships can also benefit from achieving this balance.

We want to thank all our sponsors:
  • Beam Suntory
  • Town & Country Bank and Trust Co.
  • LG&E and KU
  • Lincoln National Bank
  • Nelson County Public Library
  • Elizabethtown Community & Technical College
  • Holiday Inn Express

Spotlight of the Month
IHG Consulting LLC

The Bardstown-Nelson County Chamber of Commerce would like to recognize IHG Consulting LLC as Spotlight of the Month.

IHG Consulting LLC is a 100% Woman Owned Business that specializes in electrical design and installation since 2017. Our focus is on commercial and industrial projects, but we also have a service department that handles residential needs. We are Christian owned and operated. IHG stands for “In His Grip” and uses Scripture as a guide for business practices and relationships. Last year, we had the distinct privilege of lighting up Main Street for Christmas and the Bourbon Festival and are looking forward to serving our community for years to come. IHG designed and installed all electrical and audiovisual components of the new Sanctuary for Mill Creek Baptist Church in 2018-2019 and won a national industry award in 2020 for Excellence in Electrical Construction. Since our focus is on quality electrical design and installation, we work with the customer to solve problems and use prefabrication to speed up our process and lower costs. IHG is unique in that we can not only design your electrical system but also install it which makes for more congruence in your project. With more than 20 years of experience, our Master Electricians are more than qualified to serve you in all your electrical, data/internet, and audiovisual needs. Our office was located on Main Street behind Shaq and Cocoa for several years but has recently relocated to Springfield. Contact us at www.ihgconsultingngllc.com or (502)744-0492.
