COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF WESTERN PA & OH GIVES BACK
|
We. Are. Speechless.
The community came together and rose to the occasion during Giving Week in an absolutely amazing way. NOAS received $37,290 in donations from many generous donors. The Community Foundation of Western PA & Eastern OH matched those donations giving NOAS an additional $10,965. The foundation raised a total of $575,105 for 45 local non-profits.
We are living in challenging times, but that didn't stop you all from donating to help foster youth who long for a
life-long permanent connection. For that, we thank you. ️️

NOAS is so grateful for a $20,000 grant from the Greater Cleveland COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund. Funding allows us to expedite two important programs to current and former foster youth from Cuyahoga, Lake, and Geauga Counties to deal with isolation, loneliness, and lack of connections. Ignite Foster Youth program will recruit and match adult mentors with mentees age 12-21. If you live in the Cleveland area and would like more information about being a mentor, click here. In addition, a Network for Life Specialist will work with emancipated foster youth to identify and engage a network of support for these young adults.

27TH ANNUAL PLAY IT FOR THE KIDS GOLF OUTING
|
NOAS On Monday, August 3rd we celebrated our 27th Annual "Play it for the Kids" Golf Outing at Trumbull Country Club social distance style. Given the iffy weather and pandemic, we had a fantastic turnout of 114 golfers. We are so grateful to everyone that helped make this year’s outing so special. Together our sponsors, golfers, and donors helped raise money for NOAS and the children and families we serve and Lewis-Roberts Foundation.

Thank you to the community for getting their teeth whitened to support our agency. The donation will help NOAS provide more programs and services for current and former foster youth as well as our foster and adoptive families. Thank you so much.

NATIONAL IMMUNIZATION AWARENESS MONTH
|
National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM) is a campaign held each August to highlight the importance of vaccination for people of all ages. Use NIAM to raise awareness in your practice, about why vaccines are important and how they prevent serious, sometimes deadly, diseases. Vaccines are safe, effective and the best protection against these diseases—from infancy to early adulthood and into old age. By getting vaccinated, we not only protect ourselves, but we also help stop the spread of disease to our children, families, and communities.
