August Is National Black Business Month!
|
|
Black business owners account for about 10 percent of U.S. businesses and about 30 percent of all minority-owned businesses. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, that amounts to approximately two million companies owned by African Americans. Nearly 40 percent of black-owned businesses are in health care and social assistance, repair and maintenance, and personal and laundry services. Other categories include advertising firms, auto dealerships, consulting services, restaurants, barbershops, beauty salons, and more.
Support and encourage African American-owned businesses in your community. Learn more about business opportunities for the African American community. Use #NationalBlackBusinessMonth in social media correspondence.

We met with Joe of #KerleySigns to discuss our branding needs for the #AJC. We look forward to sharing the interior and exterior signage that will be placed within the facility in future updates!
We’re so excited to share this space with you all! Stay tuned to #AJCNationalHarbor for updates on grand openings, building updates, and all other AJC related info!

Employers looking to fill jobs are having trouble finding the talent they need – and that means workers can pick and choose.
Yes, much has changed about the labor force since early-2020. For this week’s Jobs Report, WRAL TechWire wanted to get a sense of the macro-impacts the pandemic has brought on the U.S. job landscape.
