Current Scholarships Opportunities:
Foundations Series begins September 11
You could win a $1,000 scholarship by attending the Foundations seriesa comprehensive student development program.
  
Six one-hour sessions will be offered on Mondays from 7 to 8 pm in 114 Hall of Languages.   Topics covered: leadership, career development, financial wellness, physical health and nutrition, healthy relationships and self-care. Students who attend all six sessions can enter to win a $1,000 scholarship.

    Job Spotlight: Attention Federal Work-Study students: SU  Literacy Corps is hiring students to work as tutors in Syracuse City schools. Transportation is available. The salary is $10 per hour. Must be able to work 8 to 10 hours per week in blocks of three hours or more, between 8 am - 4 pm.   Applications are due by noon Monday, September 11, and are available in the Shaw Center, 237 Schine.     Welcome Emily Zipprich
    Assistant Director
    for Athletics  
    Emily Zipprich recently joined our office as Assistant Director. Emily will coordinate and work with students receiving athletic aid.

    Emily was born and raised in Syracuse and attended Montana State University.  She has recently worked in the Syracuse University College of Law and SU Abroad offices.  This summer Emily completed the Lake Placid Ironman event. Congratulations and welcome!


     
    Welcome Candis Tingle
    Financial Aid Counselor 
    Candis Tingle joined our office over the summer as financial aid Counselor for undergraduate students whose last name begin with A through C.

    Candis graduated from Kentucky State University, where she also worked as a Financial Aid Representative. She has also worked for the Kentucky State Government in the Health and Family Services Department.  Welcome to New York, Candis!

     Financial Aid Counselor 
    Cathy Hill is a new financial aid counselor for undergraduate students whose last name begins with D through H. 

    Cathy graduated from Cornell University, and earned her Master's Degree in school counseling from Syracuse University.  Cathy worked for 15 years as an admissions counselor before joining our office.  Welcome to financial aid, Cathy!
