July is Tap Dance month here at The Library! The Jerome Robbins Dance Division is the recipient of the American Tap Dance Foundation's 2017 Tap Preservation Award, which will be presented to us during Tap City, the New York City Tap Festival. To celebrate, we are screening just a few of the many tap treasures from the Library's collections.

The screenings will be held on the Third Floor Screening Room at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at 6pm. 
Doors open at 5:30pm.  
Seating is first come first served.

These are New York City tap dance events not produced by the American Tap Dance Foundation.

proudly announce the return of:
"Club 124" for a  20th Reunion Show and Jazz Tap Jam
On the Stoop at 124 East 4th Street, East Village, Downtown NYC
Between 1st and 2nd Aves, close to F train (2nd Ave stop)  or 6, R, N trains (Astor Pl) FREE outdoor show
Tap Dancer/Producer LARAINE GOODMAN and Jazz Vocalist NICK DRAKIDES (aka "Frank Sinatra") Host the gathering on "Club 124"s East Village Stoop for a 20th reunion of singers, tap dancers, musicians / live band, and improvisers.
Our shows provided a professional springboard to Michela Lerman (now an International renown Tap Dancer, International Tap star Kazu Kumagai and other young hoofers. Other favorites will be on the stoop: Hank Smith, Toes Tiranoff, Megan Haungs, Comic Derek Jones, and a host of seasoned and new tap dancers on the scene.

All welcome to strut their stuff.
