Back to School with
Ag in the Classroom
Back to school with look different this year but Ag in the Classroom will still be there teaching our students about Agriculture! We are working closely with each of our teachers to create lessons that will work in their classrooms. We are also working to create materials for families who are participating in e-learning, helping share agriculture lessons to even more students!

We are less than 2 weeks away from the 2020 Kendall-Grundy Farm Bureau Young Leaders Golf Outing to support Ag Education!

We have precautions in place for the outing but will accept general donations if some teams choose not to participate this year. All proceeds help support Ag Education with the majority of the proceeds supporting Kendall County Ag in the Classroom.

Agritourism Q & A Conference Call
Join members of the Agritourism working in collaboration with Illinois Farm Bureau, Illinois Specialty Growers Association, and University of Illinois Extension to discusses best practices for your Agritourism or Pick Your Own Operation to operate during COVID-19. This will be interactive and a time to share ideas and hear what others are doing. We will also discuss the newly released operating guide recommendations. Please note that due to the nature of this session the size will be limited. It is first come first serve please register in advance. We will host additional sessions if needed!

Agritourism Q&A: Best Practices to Operating During COVID

Unsolicited Seeds
Illinois Farm Bureau is currently working with USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) to address reports of unsolicited shipments of seeds from foreign countries. Anyone who receives unordered seeds in the mail should contact the Illinois Department of Agriculture by emailing the following information to : First and Last Name, Phone Number and the number of packages received. Do not open the package, plant the seeds, or throw them out. Please keep all seeds unopened and with their original packaging and labels, including mailing labels, until further instruction is provided.

Over the last few weeks 4-H members across both our counties have been working hard to submit their photos and videos for this year's virtual 4-H fairs. Thank you to all the 4-H members, parents, 4-H staff, and volunteers who worked so hard to allow the member to share their projects!
