FEDC & Chamber Podcast-Have you Listened in Yet?

Fostoria Economic Development & Fostoria Area Chamber of Commerce have launched a Podcast, "Shut Up & Listen: Small Town Stories with Sarah & Renee". The podcast features FEDC President, Renee Smith, and Chamber/Small Business Director, Sarah Stephens Krupp, sharing all things Fostoria and inviting special guests to join them in a light hearted conversation.

The podcast can be found on Spotify, Apple and Google. The podcast drops the first and third Wednesday of each month and you can learn more and follow Shut Up & Listen: Small Town Stories on Facebook and Instagram.

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB) Accepting Applications for cohort that starts in January 2023

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses no-cost program at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C ®) offers hands-on business education for entrepreneurs. Business owners develop skills to increase revenue, create jobs, improve leadership and establish valuable connections needed to grow a business. There is no cost to participate, the program is funded by the Goldman Sachs Foundation.

The results speak for themselves. Reports show that 10KSB graduates across the country see their businesses far exceed national averages in revenue growth and job creation. Positive results usually occur within six months of graduation and business owners gain valuable skills and experiences in our hands-on business education course. Melissa's Cheer & Tumbling is located at 634 Plaza Drive and offers gymnastics, tumbling and cheer instruction and apparel.

They teach children from the ages of 3 to 17, both boys and girls, the opportunity to learn basic tumbling, gymnastics and cheerleading. The work to maintain classes at 10 or less students to provide a safe controlled environment. Melissa's Cheer & Tumbling is perfect for parents looking for a constructive physical outlet for their children. Their coaches are certified and experienced in teaching children. Java's Enchanted Bean has opened its doors and is working on training their new team. Located at 204 S. Main St. across from the Municipal Building they serve a wide variety of coffee and tea drinks, pastries, ice cream and are adding more each week. The Historical Society hosted Heritage Day and St. Wendelin hosted Min-Fest on Saturday, July 30 with many other organizations taking part as vendors and volunteers. Downtown was filled with wonderful activities and lots of people! Thanks for the great work on a wonderful, collaborative event!

The Fostoria Area Historical Society celebrated the improvements made to the North Street Museum with a Chamber Ribbon Cutting on Saturday, July 30.

Congratulations on the successful capital campaign and great improvements!

Fostoria Rotary Club to Host Downtown Summer Fling

Fostoria Rotary will host it first ever Downtown Summer Fling. On Thursday, August 18 in Market Square Park (corner of Tiffin & Main St.) from 7-11 p.m. the event will feature live music from Sugarcreek, beverages from The UrbanWoody Brewery and The HoneyBee Winery and food.
