Home Sale Report

School is back in session and Summer activities have winded down, but there is still much to do in Connecticut. Check out the September calendar for arts, culture, entertainment, nature activities, romantic getaways and more.


AUGUST SINGLE FAMILY HOME SALES

August home sales for lower Fairfield County totaled 345, almost equal to July, but down about 5% year over year. Median sale prices for August were down in all towns except for New Canaan, Weston and Westport which saw an increase. Time to sell averaged about 15 days in most towns but 31 days in Westport. Selling prices are still mostly over or at the asking price averaging about 102%. Inventory levels remain low overall, but some price points and neighborhoods are seeing an increase.

 Sales above $2.0 million accounted for about 21% of the total. Sales below $1.0 million accounted for about 40% of the total.
