Volunteers Needed! On September 10th, we’re welcoming everyone back to Silverado Resort & Spa in Napa for the Family House flagship event, Cabernet for Connoisseurs! We need volunteers 21+ to help make it a huge success. Now in its 26th year, this evening is a special celebration featuring incredible wines and a gourmet dinner, alongside a curated live auction with once-in-a-lifetime experiences, live music, and so much more.

Party Like a Warrior! Own a Piece of History How about a chance to see those Warriors? In May 2020, two-month-old Luke from Sacramento was diagnosed with a disease his family had never heard of—biliary atresia. After prolonged hospitalizations, countless emergency room visits, and a failed procedure in September 2020, Luke was transferred via critical care ambulance to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. Soon after, the Skall family found Family House.  Hear from Luke’s mother, Sarah, about their time with Family House up until Luke was well enough to return home.

High School Summer Volunteer Program Concludes That’s a wrap! We couldn’t be more grateful or proud of our eleven rockstar high school volunteers. To conclude their time at Family House, these students visited the Salesforce Tower thanks to another awesome volunteer and Salesforce employee, Susan.

Yoga with Paige Paige Yastrzemski hosted a socially distanced yoga session in the courtyard for families and staff! The session was a welcome bit of respite during these hectic times and enjoyed by all. We’re always so grateful to be able to count on our neighbors like Paige & Mike Yastrzemski of the SF Giants for their incredible support of Family House. Thank you!

Family House continues to be open during the COVID-19 health crisis. Though we are operating with a significantly smaller staff and have suspended nearly all volunteer activities, we are committed to maintaining our mission of providing compassionate care and dignity to families in need.
