Sailing into August, we're reminded that those lazy days of summer are waning and all of Jersey Cares' amazing summer volunteer opportunities will soon be shifting to a fall focus. Are you focused on getting ready to head back to school? Register to support the school supply drive and help New Jersey children start the year off right. Trying to hang on to those fleeting moments of sunshine? Make one of your shore trips a day of service. You have lots of ways to get everything you can out of this summer and do something good at the same time. Head over to our calendar of projects to find one that sounds like your moment in the sun!
Last Call for School Supplies
It's last call for school supplies! Each year, thousands of New Jersey children attend their first day of school without basic educational tools, which can make succeeding academically a struggle. For the ninth year, and hopefully our most successful year, we are working to equip more than 5,000 students with the tools they will need to start the year off right -- but we need you to do it! With the collection drive wrapping up on August 21st we have only three weeks to get all those supplies in! Register today to host your own school supply drive or join an existing one to help ensure academic success for all New Jersey children!
