Welcome, Students

RSDM welcomed its new predoctoral students, postdoctoral students, and residents this summer. From a pool of 3,162 applicants, 91 have been selected to attend the traditional DMD program. Additionally, 41 postgraduate students and residents have joined the advanced dental education programs.

Fellowship

Two RSDM Students Receive NJLEND Fellowship

Chao Chen and Maha Ibrahim of the Class of 2023 have been awarded New Jersey’s Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (NJLEND) fellowship. They are the first RSDM students to participate in the program.

Holocaust Survivors Program Alters Community and Curriculum

For survivors, medical treatments can evoke trauma from the Holocaust. That’s why RSDM began implementing a special training program called person-centered, trauma informed care to prepare students in delivering the best care for Holocaust survivors and all patients who might have experienced trauma.

Undergraduate Student Gets a Taste of Dentistry at RSDM

Tiffany-Chrissy Mbeng had her mind set on becoming a political scientist. But her sister’s illness stirred her career plans toward dentistry. To get another step closer to her dream career, she attended Rutgers’ Summer Health Professions Education Program this summer.
