TART update: news both sweet and sour

The Turtle Action Response Team (TART) has been tracking the progress of the turtle nests around the lake.

Head over to the blog to see an update, including a video, a mystery, and new vocabulary to impress - or frighten - folks at your next cocktail party (like "carapace", "midline keel", and "postorbital blotch").

The summer heat and the rain held off long enough to host our inaugural golf fundraiser at Horseshoe Farms. New friends and old came together to support LMEF's mission of an ecologically healthy Lake Maxinkuckee and its watershed. Signs at every hole helped connect golfers with the work that we are doing together.

We are grateful for what this generous support is going to allow us to do long into the future! Many thanks to our volunteers, event and grounds staff, and for our hosts, the Irsay Family.

If you missed the live presentation, fear not! You can watch a recording online (click on the image below).
