CMM’s Municipal Liability Team Saves Smithtown Millions in Potential Exposure in Lawsuit
The lawsuit involved a passenger who suffered extensive injuries resulting from the actions of an inebriated driver. While the plaintiff argued that road conditions were to blame for the accident, Richard DeMaio and Scott Middleton of CMM's Municipal Liability team persuaded the Court that although the incident was a tragedy, the Town defendants bore no liability.
