SBCA Settles with the City of Boston in Long Running Dispute
On August 5th, SBCA reached a settlement agreement with the city of Boston regarding a petition filed at the Federal Communications Commission in 2012, in response to a city ordinance, SBCA contended, violated the Federal OTARD rule. The agreement between the two parties will continue to allow the installation and use of satellite dishes in the city.

“SBCA is pleased that we were able to work with the city of Boston to resolve this dispute, while it took 10 years to resolve, it re-enforces the rights of consumers to enjoy the benefits of satellite delivered services. The Association will always fight for consumers rights and take as long as needed to ensure success", stated SBCA President Steve Hill. This settlement follows similar
resolutions which were reached with Philadelphia and Chicago in recent years.
