Friends,

It's been nonstop action and momentum across House District 149. I’ve spent it doing what I believe representation should look like: showing up, listening to residents, meeting with community and business leaders, walking neighborhoods, supporting families affected by violent crime, and talking directly with voters about the challenges facing our district.

We’ve strengthened relationships throughout the Vietnamese-American community, expanded our grassroots presence, put more campaign signs and block walkers on the ground, and earned the support of respected leaders by putting solutions ahead of slogans.

We've called for stronger accountability for repeat violent offenders, examining how we can improve student achievement in Alief ISD, and using my engineering and critical-infrastructure experience to advocate for a safer, more reliable Texas electric grid. Those priorities reflect the practical, results-focused approach I intend to take to Austin.

With the November 3 election approaching, the work only accelerates from here. We are building this campaign one neighborhood, one relationship, and one conversation at a time, and I’m encouraged by what I’m seeing across HD149.

The momentum is growing. Now, with your strong support, we turn that momentum into results.

I’m grateful to have the support of people who have earned the trust of Texans and who share deep connections to the communities we serve.

Thank you to Governor Greg Abbott, Van Q. Huynh, Dr. Lily Truong, Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale, and Constable Terry Allbritton for their confidence and support.

Each has demonstrated a commitment to service, leadership, and strengthening our community in their own way. Their endorsements mean a great deal because this campaign is about that same shared undertaking: safer neighborhoods, stronger schools, greater opportunity, and accountable leadership that listens to the people it represents.

I’m honored to stand alongside them, and even more determined to earn the trust of every voter across HD149 as we work together to get our district back on track.

Join me on Tuesday, September 1 at 6:00 PM for the True Texas Project Candidate Meet & Greet at Spring Creek BBQ in Katy.

This is a free community event and a great opportunity to meet candidates, ask questions, talk about the issues that matter to you, and hear directly from those asking for your vote! I look forward to meeting you, hearing what’s on your mind, and sharing my vision for practical, accountable leadership in House District 149.

Come out, bring a friend, and be part of the conversation!

Every contribution -- whether it's $25, $100, $250, $500, or more -- helps us communicate our message to another voter and brings us one step closer to victory in November.

Together, we can give House District 149 the leadership it deserves. Thank you for your support, your encouragement, and your confidence.

Let's keep moving forward.

Dave Bennett

Republican Nominee - Texas House District 149

P.S. We are on track to win this race - but only if we have the resources to compete. Thank you for investing in trusted leadership and a stronger future for HD149.
