When it comes time to choose, there is an appropriateness to the "I" focus. Not the I of the ego, but the eye of the I. When we are considering the "We", the community/collective, the "I" must be inserted.

Whether you consider yourself a spiritual person or not, as we continue to take care of our selves (mind, body, soul), we are a part of the collective healing. As we balance our lives with goodness and choose health, we are expressing gratitude for an asset beyond our body alone. What feeds your gratitude? What is in alignment with your gifts, bringing joy? What are the gifts and genius of others that you can bow in respect to? Where do you see yourself making whole choices...food? sleep? compost?

It is my hope for my self, for us, to continue nurturing one another and honoring one another through our practice of health and humility. It is with gratitude from the depths of myself that I THANK YOU for the work you are doing, no matter where you are in your journey.

Whether or not you are currently facing dis-ease, daily stress, financial burdens, tolls and roles within your family unit, or any of the other challenges that we may be given, please know that there is a space for you here at The Shift to come be yourself!

YOGA NIDRA w/Jenne Sluder

From Jenne: Yoga Nidra is a practice that ANYONE can do; it does not require physical exertion. It is a guided lying-down meditation that induces full-body relaxation and strong states of awareness. This 2-hour session begins with gentle tension-relieving stretches and resting poses, leading up to a 45-minute Yoga Nidra practice. The various elements of the workshop, taken together and practiced regularly, will improve sleep and memory, relieve anxiety and fatigue, and make up a sophisticated set of mind-body tools to generate greater calm and clarity in navigating the storms of life.
  Cost is $20 (20% off for monthly members of The Shift).
Pre-registration is preferred so that we may get an accurate sense of attendance.

Healing Dance for Mind, Body & Soul

Moving body, mind and soul as one can unlock messages essential to our healing journey. In this workshop, we will learn how to tune into our bodies to hear guidance from our soul. We will explore what blocks us mentally and emotionally from being our whole, true selves and how that affects us physically. We will then dance to loosen up the blocks and create more space to live in joy and health.
The dancing is a blend of traditional world dances and guided free-form movements. For people of any physical capacity, the movements have deep healing effects whether done gently or vigorously.

Michelle Dionne, teacher of Sacred and Healing Dance since 1998, has traveled worldwide, participating in traditional ceremonial dances. Her teachings focus on dancing between the physical and spiritual realms in order to cultivate self- awareness, self healing and self-love.
