AUGUST- Seeding and Aeration Reminder

Summer’s winding down, and back-to-school season is here!

It’s been a hot and humid summer, with some heavy rain mixed in—but as the days grow shorter and cooler, our lawns and landscapes are about to get some much-needed relief.

Early to mid-fall is one of the best times to refresh your yard and get everything back in shape. Here's how we can help make the most of the season!

Stronger Grass Means More Resistance to Weeds, Diseases, & Insect Infestations

Lawn Aeration Service

Core aeration relieves soil compaction and improves water and nutrient absorption. It’s best done once a season, and if you're planning to seed, aim for September or early October. Aeration can be done anytime from September through November.

Again this year, Creative Scapes is donating 10% of all aeration service earnings to FAACT, a nonprofit focused on food allergy education and safety for children and adults affected by food allergies and anaphylaxis.

Putting Down Grass Seed Allows Lawns to Be Revitalized, Creates Higher Germination Rates

After aeration, we recommend overseeding and fertilizing to help thicken and revitalize your lawn. This encourages stronger growth, fills in bare spots, and improves overall lawn health.

We use turf-type tall fescue, a durable, dark green seed well-suited for Ohio’s climate. A small bag of extra seed is also left behind for you to touch up any problem areas.
