New Survivorship Care Plan Templates
The CRStar upgrade at the end of July included the release of new Survivorship Care Plans (SCP). As with many of our other forms, information from the abstract auto fills in the new SCP. We'd like to acknowledge the extensive collaboration and review from many of our customers during the requirements and design phases of this upgrade.

The new SCP templates available include breast, lung, colorectal, prostate and a generic form to use with all other sites. The new forms are located under the Print Forms tab in the Abstract Management module.

Please note: The Journey Forward SCP feature is still available for use under the Data Export tab in the reporting module. As long as a user has Journey Forward downloaded, it is still usable from within CRStar. However, the Journey Forward website has been taken down so the application is no longer available for download and the application will no longer be updated with changes in registry standards.
Upcoming Webinar - Please Join Us!
As part of our continuing effort to help drive innovation and promote the value of the Cancer Registry, we will be hosting a webinar discussion later this month titled Automated Data Exchange: Approaches to Revitalize your Cancer Registry.

This discussion will be primarily oriented towards your cancer center leaders and administrators, so please share this with them. We will share insights on how we've simplified the notion of integration automation to drive efficiencies towards concurrent reporting and abstracting.

The webinar will be hosted by Todd Carter, Manager, Technology & Implementation and Rohit Nayak, CEO. There will be two sessions: Tuesday, August 25th and Thursday, August 27th at noon EST. Additional information regarding registration will be sent in the coming weeks.

August Employee Spotlight
This month, our ERS employee spotlight is on Software Specialist, Curt Patrick. Curt began his career with ERS in 2007. Before joining ERS, he held several positions in the information technology space, including a position as a Help Desk intern at ZF Boge Elastmetall, as a programming intern at Disabled American Veterans, as a data analyst intern with Domin-8 Enterprise solutions and was a founding Web Developer in the Center for Applied Informatics at Northern Kentucky University. Curt graduated from NKU in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems.

Curt states that his favorite part of his job with ERS is solving problems for customers, whether he is designing a custom fix or simply providing advice. He says, "It is very satisfying when I am remembered at a later meeting because of a good experience. It is a good feeling to know that I have my clients' trust and that their needs have been met."

Curt grew up and currently lives in Northern Kentucky with his 18-year-old son, Mark, who recently graduated from high school and has recently started his first "real" job. Curt enjoys learning about technology in his spare time as well as hiking and taking fishing trips. Curt's other interests include the stock market, coin collecting and cooking, especially Chinese food.
