Dear Friend,

As the peak of summer passes, I am grateful for the energy and community spirit that define this season at Greenlight Family Services. Yesterday, the annual staff picnic brought Team Greenlight together for an afternoon of great food and well-deserved fun at Kaiser Tiger, co-owned by our very own Director of Programs and Client Services, Angela.

Also this summer, Greenlight was honored to receive support from CDW Corporation's PRIDE Business Resource Group, which held a fitness fundraiser in support of co-parent adoptions for LGBTQ+ families.

Finally, please join me in welcoming the newest members of Greenlight’s Board of Directors, Reema Ghosh and Juliana Schlect. Their expertise, passion, and commitment will guide us forward as we expand access to services for Illinois families.

Last week, CDW's PRIDE Business Resource Group gathered at Basecamp Fitness for a HIIT workout fundraiser! With their generously-given sweat and support, Greenlight will continue to secure LGBTQ+ families across Illinois with legal co-parent adoptions.

GREENLIGHT WELCOMES NEW BOARD MEMBERS

REEMA GHOSH

Reema Ghosh is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Senior Inside Sales Associate at Glanbia Nutritionals.

She is a dedicated leader in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and serves as co-chair of the Zo DEI Affinity Group of the Franklin Central in downtown Chicago.

JULIANA SCHLECT

Juliana Schlecht was adopted from Kazakhstan, and like many adoptees, she has navigated identity questions, limiting beliefs, and the emotional complexities that come with adoption.

Professionally, Juliana has a background in real estate, modeling, and philanthropy, taking a heart-led approach grounded in lived experience.
