Welcome to the Team!


Originally from Logan Square in Chicago, Max Maronde is a rising senior at the University of Denver, majoring in Media Studies and German with hopes to pursue a career in graphic design and digital marketing. We are excited that he has joined Moll Law Group as an intern this summer to help create meaningful visual content. Max’s hobbies in Colorado include skiing (both alpine and cross-country), hiking, and camping. Nothing beats summer back home in Chicago and a dip in Lake Michigan!

Meet Jemma Cota, Moll Law Group’s newest attorney. Born and raised in Arizona, Jemma is new to Chicago after finishing law school at the University of Oklahoma. She also earned her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Oklahoma, where she majored in Business Administration with a minor in Gender and Women’s Studies, and served as the captain of the university’s women’s soccer team. Go, Jemma! Jemma is fluent in Spanish, and during law school, she was the Board of Governors Chief of Staff, as well as the chair of both the Latinx Law Student Association and the Sports and Entertainment Society. In her leisure time, Jemma enjoys going on runs, reading a good book, and trying new restaurants around town.

Childhood sexual abuse by trusted clergymen can be extremely damaging to victims. The Attorney General’s Office has put out a new report of its investigation of clergy abuse at the six Catholic diocese across the state. The investigation spanned 2019 through 2023.

Settlement of Valsartan Lawsuit Nears for Some

Valsartan is a generic blood pressure medication that is alleged to cause cancer from carcinogen contamination. About 3 million Americans were taking Valsartan before it was recalled in 2018 due to high carcinogen levels. Many sued, and now the first settlement of Valsartan related MDLs is nearing.

A new study led by Jenni A. Shearston, a postdoctoral scholar from UC Berkeley found that tampons from several brands that millions use can be contaminated with the toxic metals lead, cadmium and arsenic.This finding is alarming because the skin of the vagina has the ability to absorb chemicals better than skin in other locations on the body.

Manufacturer Recall of Potassium Chloride Extended-Release Capsules

Recently, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals recalled 114 batches of 750 mg. potassium chloride extended-release capsules because of dissolution failure. The failed dissolution of these capsules can result in high potassium levels, a condition called hyperkalemia. This can lead to a patient’s cardiac arrest.
