An important update regarding Project MOST After School
As onsite student capacity is overwhelmed at Springs School, the school will no longer accommodate its full student body or the Project MOST After School program as capacity is overwhelmed due to Covid-19 social distancing protocols. In response, we have moved our After School program for Springs School students to our Community Learning Center at the Neighborhood House (92 Three Mile Harbor Road, East Hampton). Springs families will also have the option to register their children for our new Remote Learning Support program, a full-day initiative with supervision of remote learning, as well as enrichment activities that coincide with the school-day in addition to after school. There will be limited enrollment in both our After School and Remote Learning Support programs for Springs School students, but we are actively seeking additional learning sites and transportation to accommodate a full program. After we reach capacity per set Covid-19 prevention occupancy protocols, students added to our wait list will be offered spots as they become available on a first come, first served basis.

Our After School program at John M. Marshall Elementary School is not impacted and placement for students in that district remains open.
An outstanding need in our own community
To meet the needs of Springs School students after school, it is necessary to provide transportation to make our programs fully accessible. We expect to incur a cost of $60,000 to bus impacted students from their school-day to our program site, so that we can continue to provide elective learning opportunities, academic assistance, and ease to working parents. To that end, we are actively seeking additional learning sites as the Neighborhood House can safely accommodate 40 students and 150 families typically rely on Project MOST programs in the Springs District. We would be grateful for your support, be it financial or voicing the importance of subsidizing transportation and accommodation costs to meet the needs of Springs families.

Critical staff training and safety precautions have paved the way for a fun summer.
Project MOST adheres to Covid-19 guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the New York State Department of Health. Our safety procedures include daily temperature and blood oxygen level readings, screening questions for children and family members, small groups comprised of 10 children and 2 staff members, enhanced cleaning and disinfection, and use of the outdoors.

New online classes every week
Project MOST instructors have come up with workshops that the whole family can enjoy at home. They’re fun and offered for free. Families can tune into our Distance Learning Lab channel on YouTube where we are posting new content in art, dance, yoga, science, cooking, and more. Learn more here.
We share videos on our YouTube channel. Follow along on Facebook and Instagram to stay updated about new classes.
Project MOST provides enriching academic and elective opportunities across a range of subjects at a subsidized cost. This includes a New York State SACC-licensed after school program, a nine-week summer learning program, plus year-round evening and weekend workshops and academic assistance in the areas of Arts & Culture, S.T.E.M., and Health & Wellness. We provide financial aid as needed so that no child is left out of our programs due to finances. Your donation helps us continue to turn non-school hours into learning hours, encouraging natural curiosity and the joy of knowledge for the youngest members of our community.
Project MOST is a 501(c)(3) and all donations are tax deductible.
