Last Call to Enter Westshore Photo Contest 📷📸

The second annual World Photography Day Photo Contest is open for submissions. The contest ends on Friday, August 8th with winners announced on World Photography Day, August 18th. Judges are looking for images that represent a ‘favorite place or activity in Westshore’. Submissions must be taken within Westshore boundaries. Winners will receive a $100 cash prize, $50 gift card to International Plaza and Bay Street, and will be recognized during the Alliance’s August Member Luncheon on August 21. New Northbound I-275 Traffic Pattern on Howard Frankland Bridge

This new traffic pattern will enable crews to move into the next phase of the project, which includes removing the original 1960’s bridge by the spring of 2026, completing the future express lanes (two lanes from St. Petersburg to Tampa and two lanes from Tampa to St. Petersburg) and the shared-use facility for a grand opening in early 2026. Motorists are reminded to slow down, obey the posted speed limit, and remain alert for construction vehicles entering and exiting the active work zone. Save the Date! World Car Free Day 2025

The third annual World Car Free Day event is 2 months away! Mark your calendar for September 20 as Walk Bike Tampa, with the help of various community partners, is working hard on the planning efforts for this year’s WCFD event. This year’s theme is “Market to Market” as each activation zone will be paired with local morning markets!

Join in on the fun across the City of Tampa as we celebrate and explore the city in a fun, active, and car-free way. Activation zones will be located at Midtown/Westshore, Encore/Downtown, Ybor City, and Tampa Well Community Gardens – with meet ups in South Tampa and The Heights. Learn more about the event here.
