Dear Gardening Friends,

The Garden Hut will continue to be EXTRA cautious with our staff, family, friends, and customers in regards to Covid-19. We wish you patience, kindness, good health, and successful gardening.

We will continue with abbreviated hours this month.

Weds-Fri 10-5pm | Sat 9-3pm
Closed Sunday

You are allowed to shop our grounds, with social distancing please. We are working to renovate inside so that we can safely have more than 4 patrons at a time. We think you will like this change! You must wear a mask to shop inside.

We will also continue with our curbside pick up for those that are compromised. If you need further assistance, we are happy to try and work a more convenient time in. Call us at 919-552-0590 during business hours to schedule.

Follow us on Facebook & Instagram for the newest arrivals & tips.

In the Garden

Check out our locally-grown produce ... some grown right here on site.

Cool season veggies are coming in the 3rd & 4th week of August. We have organic seeds for cool season veggies too!

Pruning ~ It's time to finish pruning shrubs, no later than middle of September, so the new growth can harden off before winter. Note: do not prune spring-flowering plants now.

Remove spent flowers and tired foliage on perennials so they will flush out and bloom again. Also prune seed heads on crepe myrtles. Deadhead annuals to keep them blooming. If your perennials are coneflowers or the like, leave seed heads for the finches to enjoy.

Deer, rabbits and critters are on the move. We have great "I Must Garden" products to repel unwanted critters from your plants.

We are looking forward to fall planting season and have some beautiful plants scheduled to arrive in September and October.
Hydrate & hydrate those plants!

Happy Gardening and plant on!
Nelsa and our awesome staff at the Garden Hut
