July was a tough month, full of "technical difficulties" ranging from a broken down computer, to a new computer not working, to a shipment that was damaged enroute, to difficulties in doing almost anything I tried to do.
But for August, there is some exciting news. I was accepted into a show, Summer Heat at Rossetti Fine Art Gallery! Last year I was too chicken to enter the show, but this year felt I had a piece that might fit this specific gallery. I also entered my Dad's paper cutout pieces, and both were accepted! Woot woot.
In mid-august, I will be participating in the Bonnet House Fine Artists Summer series at Frame 'n by the Sea Gallery in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea.
The Cornell Art Museum's 2017 6x6 Exhibit & Sale was a great success, my pieces snapped up and proceeds going to the museum.
Lastly, I have been attending to sea turtle nests, 1-2x a week with my husband. We have assisted over 300 hatchling turtles to the ocean so far this season and we'll be out there through September. Great way to spend an evening!
