Navigating the New Normal
Kristina Hudson, CEO, OneRedmond

After over a year of our employees working from home, the excitement as we prepare to open our office was quickly replaced by many questions. As a CEO, I feel fortunate that I have top-notch intel on how to move forward, as our team has produced several webinars on reopening, featuring local experts and resources. You can watch recordings of those webinars here and find more valuable resources in this month's newsletter.

Here are five key lessons that I think are important for any organization's leadership in these challenging times.
  1. It is important to be flexible. The pandemic changed many things about the way we work. It will take time to get back to the feeling of being normal.
  2. Listen to employees. Our workforce is our greatest asset and people communicate in different ways. Survey, reach out, and follow up to ensure every concern is heard and being addressed.
  3. Double down on safety. While regulations and guidelines are still changing, focus on protecting employees and customers.
  4. Ensure the culture in the office promotes kind and tolerant conversations around the topic of vaccinations and masks.
  5. Do what is right for our business. Our customer’s needs will still need to be met, but we should also stay flexible and help our employees stay safe.
