Question: I hold a provisional registration certificate. Can I practice psychotherapy? 

The Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) has collaborated to create draft competencies for occupational therapist assistants (OTAs) in Canada.

COTO’s Registration program is the first point of contact for individuals who wish to to practice occupational therapy in Ontario. The team manages the application process as well as annual renewal.

The program also provides services such as: assisting registrants with letters of standing, professional corporations registration, and data collection. Their important work helps keep the information on the public register up-to-date, so people can confirm an individual is registered to provide occupational therapy services.

Fun fact: Two of the registration team members have been with the College for more than 10 years! We are here to help and answer any questions you may have.
