Pantry Events

This month The Caring Place is excited to announce we are co-hosting two events for neighbors with the Williamson County and Cities Health District.  " Talk with a Nurse" and " Talk with a Doc" on August 5th and August 13th respectively, aim to teach community members healthy habits, beginning with food and nutrition.  For more information see the flyers below or view The Caring Place Event Calendar on our website.

What do People Buy in August?

Ever curious about the random things people purchase in the summer time?  Here are a few things we've seen leave The Shops at The Caring Place recently.  Sometimes customers even share why they are buying things with us.  Do these statements sound like you?  If so, you may want to swing by and do some "Shopping for Good" at our thrift stores.
  • Puzzles to get those kids through the last weeks of summer.
  • Tennis shoes because you like to have an extra pair for walking outside in the garden.
  • A new outfit from the Boutique because an interview is coming up.
  • An awesome deal on a chair that will be great to paint and re-cover.
  • Yarn because you have some knitting projects for the holidays.
  • You moved and you need a sofa.
  • You've decided to cook at home more and need a few new utensils and kitchen gadgets.
No matter what brings you to our stores, we hope you find what you are looking for!
