Welcome Back
We are excited and looking forward to the new school year and expect many blessings for our students and families as God leads.
Our teachers are preparing their hearts through prayer and diving into the Word of God seeking His direction for their classrooms. They are planning for excellence in academics for their students as well as enriching each student's personal relationship with the Lord.
To start off the year, we have some important events happening as featured below. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Let's Get Started—August 13
The first day of school will be Tuesday, August 13.
Are you ready, Lions? Your teachers and all the staff here at school will be ready for you.
If you need anything or have any questions, please contact the school office. We will be happy to get you up and running!

New School Start Times
To help ease the incoming and outgoing flow of students during drop-off and pickup, we have made some new start time changes.
Please make sure you take a look at the new times above in the graphic. This change will also allow for smooth transitioning between classrooms and traffic around campus.

Announcing New Cafeteria Service
Among other exciting changes for the new school year is our new Cafeteria Service, SFE. We are bringing them on board to provide more delicious and healthy food choices for our students.
We have heard the kids speak out and have taken action to make sure that all students will be able to enjoy lunch with food that has flavor, visual appeal, and balanced nutrition!

|
NVCA Accreditations
Our board of directors and head of school could not be more proud to announce that we are working toward accreditation with three organizations this school year. When completed, NVCA will be the
only
school in America to be accredited by all three of the following organizations: the National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA), AdvancED, and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

|
RightNow Media
As part of our NVCA family, we invite you to join
RightNow Media
, a Christian media ministry that offers online Bible studies, sermons, children's videos, and more to help the Church grow in faith and reach out to the world with the Gospel and love of Christ. If you have not already received an e-mail invitation from RightNow Media on behalf of NVCA or from a staff member, please feel free to contact Chris Schoenleb, Head of School, for more details about signing up.

Mark the Dates!
This school year we want to be sure you will "be in the know" in advance for all of the exciting and main events to take place. Everyone has different styles for keeping schedules, so we've taken that into consideration. For more details about the school calendar, e.g., school days, school days off, holidays, all events, and more, we've provided a complete school year calendar highlighting each month's details. We've also included it in the form of a running list. These calendars are available on the
website
and are downloadable and printable!
In addition, we are providing a calendar that highlights only the "All Campus" main events. This calendar will help you plan for all the major family and student events to take place on campus. It also highlights the opportune times throughout the year to support our school by giving.

Growth can sometimes be challenging but most always welcomed. This school year, we welcome a new preschool director, Deanna Otto. We've also added a second kindergarten class and a second 4th grade class to accommodate the growth God has blessed us with here at NVCA.
In addition, we have several new teachers joining our faculty this year. You will find their
bios
on the website. We may also feature short teacher interviews throughout the year in future newsletter issues.

Deanna Otto
New Preschool Director
Deanna comes to us from the Denver, Colorado, area. She has 21 years' experience in Lutheran education, teaching the 2nd grade, and six years' experience as a preschool director. We are grateful to have her join our faculty and be a part of the NVCA family.
"
I have seen the difference that Christian education can make in families lives and believe that the foundation it gives our little ones will stay with them for a lifetime. When we plant the seeds of faith and continue to nurture it through biblical teaching and showing Jesus' love, children will grow to be all that God has planned for them."
—Deanna Otto
