Freewriting: Letting go and letting the words tumble
with Marlene Cullen

Freewrites are a way of writing freely, letting words tumble and fall however they land, with no worries about the outcome.

In this workshop, we’ll play with freewrites as a way to inspire your writing no matter the genre.
See what ideas burst out during this unique writing exploration. Join us and have some word fun!
All are welcome. Just $5 for members; $10 for non-members.
Or become a member that day and get $5 off your membership!

Imagine a conversation
without translation
you speak
I speak
Eyes meet

Imagine a book is written
in any language
you read
I read
Dreams shape

Imagine no need for Babel
in pursuit of peace
you know
I know
Vision leads
Waiting For You
Ellie Portner
You have flown away
to visit friends.
I am missing you.
I am missing
the part of myself
I have entrusted to you.
That you have
taken with you.
My wait is a solitary dance.
I prepare savory dishes
for your return.
I wash and put away
your coffee mug.
I fluff the couch pillows
where you like to sit,
and carefully align your slippers
under your nightstand.
My dance is for the gods
who watch my waiting,
that they may grant me
your safe return.
